First Polaroid instant cameras - History
The first Polaroid instant cameras used polarizing filters and film to develop an instant photograph of the picture taken, sold between 1948 and 1953 Polaroid land camera was the first commercially successful self-developing camera. The instant camera developing processes are done by the help of dye couplers. Dye coupler is the chemical used on paper especially for color photographs, which combines colors in the film on the photograph or image. These films contain all the necessary and essential chemicals important for the development process and several other color layers. Under every color layer there is a developer layer. These layers settle on top of a black base layer which forms a chemical chain reaction waiting to be formed in motion. Land was in continuous breakthroughs of new models in instant color photography which resulted in SX-70 film and camera in 1970.
